Attention all pilots:
Due to time constraints, I was able to convert the F14C To 102, HOWEVER, the craft flies apart above MACH 2, not sure why. I Appreciate your flying these models (Even if it was under 90) but I can see no major advantage to updating them for 1.02 Work is prohibitive in this field.
I am however encouraging you the pilots to attempt to convert them yourselves. the Models generally use "default" for control surfaces, as for the new and improved aerodynamic model, Not to sure i like it. You see at my job, we run Aerodynamic tests virtually everyday, and I can tell you from Experience, that this new model is not a universal model, but rather aimed at cylindrical vehicles, such as rockets. After all the name of the game isn't Kerbal Plane Program, but Space Program. Naturally the creators will favor the rocket.
This is not to say that creative individuals will be able to overcome this, but I simply will not be converting anymore to the new system.
Again thanks for flying my planes, I hope you had a fun time at it.
I will be adding things to 90 as time goes ny, unless they ditch the new aerodynamic model in favor of a better more universal version.

Would you be able to give an example of how you converted the plane to 1.02? I'm happy to do it, but don't know how.

Sure, Well here is the Node Issues:

The Nodes on the fuselage all stay the same, but the Nodes on Say the Wings have to be a negative attach point, [ node_stack_top = 0.0, 1.0, 0.0, 0.0, 1.0, 0.0, 1 ] becomes [node_stack_top = 0.0, 1.0, 0.0, 0.0, -1.0, 0.0, 1]
this is a dedicated node. repeat this for other things that attach to the fuselage.
Next is the bulkheadProfile issue (Hull over heats)
[ emissiveConstant = 0.87 fuelCrossFeed = True bulkheadProfiles = mk3]
seems to remedy this. i am assuming that the bulkheadprofile has to do with shape of object.
On wings and control surfaces the bulkheadprofile is [srf] minus the [ ].
and finally there is the ModuleLiftingSurface
MODULE { name = ModuleLiftingSurface useInternalDragModel = True deflectionLiftCoeff = 1.0 // 16,5m^2 dragAtMaxAoA = 0.6 dragAtMinAoA = 0.0 } seems to work tweak the numbers a bit to get a more accurate flight model.
